Mike Caruso

Mike grew up in Smithtown and spent his summers working construction with his uncle. He enrolled in the trades program at SUNY Farmingdale and started his plumbing apprenticeship at 18. By 2004 he had his journeyman license. By 2007 he passed the NYS Master Plumber exam — license MP-24891 — on the first try.

He spent two years as a senior plumber with a regional contractor in Central Suffolk. The work was good, but the company was large enough that homeowners rarely spoke to anyone who actually touched their pipes. Estimates came from an office, the crew showed up the following week, and callbacks sat in a queue. Mike had a different idea about how it should run.

In 2009 he registered All Suffolk Plumbing & Heating LLC and started out of a single truck. The first year was mostly referrals from Smithtown and Kings Park — neighbors who knew him, or knew someone who did. The pitch never changed: show up on time, quote it straight, fix it right. No subcontractors. No upselling parts that do not need replacing.

Seventeen years later the crew is eight people and more than 2,800 jobs across Suffolk County. Mike still takes the walk-throughs on larger jobs. Tony Reyes handles estimates and works alongside the crew. Linda Caruso runs the office, permits, and scheduling. And fix it right the first time.
