-- What We Handle

Plumbing emergencies don't happen on a schedule. A supply line blows at 11 PM. The boiler shuts off during a January cold snap. A sewer line backs up on Thanksgiving morning. These are the calls we take, and we take them around the clock.

All Suffolk Plumbing & Heating handles the full range of emergency plumbing situations across Suffolk County — from Huntington to Southampton, Hauppauge to Bay Shore. When you call, you're talking to someone who can actually help, not a call center routing you to a voicemail box.

What we respond to 24/7:

  • Burst or frozen pipes — copper, PVC, and galvanized
  • Sewer line backups and sewage flooding
  • Water heater failures — no hot water, leaking tank, gas issues
  • Boiler shutdowns and heating emergencies
  • Flooded basements from broken supply lines or main breaks
  • Gas line smell or suspected gas leak (we coordinate with National Grid)
  • Toilet overflows and major drain blockages
  • Failed sump pumps during storms

We carry parts on the truck for most common emergency repairs. Copper fittings, shutoff valves, expansion tanks, pressure relief valves — the stuff that gets a house back in service the same visit rather than waiting for a part.

-- How a Call Works

You call (631) 397-2295. Someone picks up. We're not a franchise with a national dispatch system — it's Mike or one of his licensed plumbers answering. You describe what's happening, we ask a few questions to assess severity, and we give you an honest ETA based on where we are and where you are.

For true emergencies — active flooding, no heat below freezing, sewage backup — we prioritize the call and get someone moving within the hour. For urgent-but-stable situations, we'll often schedule same-day.

When you call, have ready:

  • Your address and the best number to reach you
  • A quick description of what's happening — is water actively flowing? Is it contained?
  • Whether the main shutoff is accessible and whether you know where it is

If water is actively flowing, we'll walk you through finding your main shutoff while we're en route. Most Suffolk County homes have the main shutoff near the water meter — often in the basement, utility room, or crawlspace. Turning that off stops damage from accumulating while we drive.

-- Why All Suffolk Plumbing

Mike Caruso has been a licensed master plumber in New York since 2007 and founded All Suffolk Plumbing & Heating in 2009. In that time, the company has completed more than 2,800 jobs across Suffolk County — most of them referrals from customers who've called back when something new came up.

Being a Suffolk County-based company means the crew knows the housing stock here. The houses in Commack and Brentwood built in the 1960s with galvanized supply lines that are due for replacement. The cedar-shingled ranches in Islip Terrace with copper that needs proper support. The newer construction in Medford with PEX. The water quality differences between towns served by public water vs. private wells.

Emergency service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. We're fully licensed and insured in New York State. No subcontracting on emergency calls — the person who shows up has a license and knows what they're doing.

USERCHECKINS

Job 1: Burst copper supply line under kitchen sink, Smithtown. Called at 11:30 PM, arrived within 75 minutes. Cut and replaced 22 inches of 1/2-inch copper, soldered new shutoff valve, restored full water service by 1:15 AM. No ceiling damage. Job 2: Sewer line backup with sewage coming up through basement floor drain, Brentwood. Roots had partially blocked the 4-inch cast iron main. Arrived same morning, cleared the blockage with cable machine, scoped the line, customer had hot water back before noon. Job 3: Boiler stopped firing, no heat overnight, Bay Shore. Dead zone valve and a faulty aquastat. Had parts on truck. Heat restored in 2.5 hours. Customer had three kids under 10 — prioritized the call. Job 4: Frozen and burst PVC pipe in unheated garage space, Patchogue. Pipe had split along a 9-inch section. Cut out the damaged section, transitioned to copper, insulated the run. Also located a second spot about to fail and addressed it same visit. Job 5: Water heater tank leaking at the base, flooding utility room, Commack. Shut off supply, drained tank, installed new 40-gallon gas unit same day. Old unit was 14 years old and had mineral buildup on the burner. Job 6: Failed sump pump during nor'easter, Huntington. Basement had taken on about 4 inches of water. Installed replacement pump, rerouted discharge line that had been poorly done by a previous contractor. Also installed a battery backup unit so next storm doesn't catch them without coverage.
