Port Jefferson is one of the more distinctive communities in Suffolk County — a North Shore harbor village with a mix of historic homes in the village core, hillside colonials and ranches in the surrounding neighborhoods, and waterfront properties along the sound. Each of these presents its own plumbing considerations.
The historic homes in Port Jefferson village are among the oldest in Suffolk County. Homes from the late 1800s and early 1900s that have not been replumbed are dealing with lead supply lines and cast iron drain systems that were standard for that era. Where we find lead supply lines, we flag them immediately — they are both a health concern and a water pressure issue as they corrode internally over time. Job 2: Lead supply line replacement, Port Jefferson. Historic home in the village core — during a routine service call, identified original lead supply lines in the basement. Replaced all lead supply lines with copper from the meter through the house. Health and pressure both improved.
Job 3: Drain snaking and camera inspection, Port Jefferson. Recurring main line backup in a 1920s home. Snaked the line, then ran the camera — found a cracked clay lateral at 30 feet. Repaired the cracked section, resolved the recurring backup.

Repaired the copper break, insulated the entire crawl space pipe run, and added a remote temperature sensor so the homeowner could monitor crawl space temps from their phone.
Job 8: Tankless water heater installation, Port Jefferson. Customer in a large 1990s colonial wanted to eliminate two aging tank water heaters in a tandem setup. Replaced both with a single Navien NPE-240A2 condensing unit. One unit, endless hot water, no tank maintenance.
